Why thermally modified Scandinavian spruce

Wood from a cool, northern climate grows more slowly, making it denser and more stable. We then give it the ThermoWood heat treatment – steam only, no chemicals – so it handles moisture, temperature and time even better.

Selection and processing

We select and process each board with attention to grain, smoothness and an even tone. Thermal modification removes resin and stabilises the timber, and we profile the elements so the structure breathes and works evenly.
